Between Worlds: Nightmares of Fascism, Dreams of Liberation [TESC]

May 19, 2017 @ 6:00 am - 7:30 pm

Purce Lecture Hall 1

From Washington, DC and Olympia to Paris and Istanbul, nationalism and tyranny are on the rise. This is not simply a matter of far-right parties taking power; whoever holds the reins, the state itself is accumulating more and more control over every aspect of life. How do we build inner and interpersonal resilience in the midst of these conflicts? And what is the alternative to a world of nationalist violence?
