Just Housing will be hosting a weekly camp-in at City Hall, EVERY TUESDAY, starting at 6pm to advocate for legalizing survival. We still have a long long ways to go when it comes to ridding our city of the ordinances that discriminate against our unsheltered neighbors and that criminalize their survival. These weekly camp-ins will be a part of a larger effort to organize for the repeal and reform of these ordinances. These camp-ins will also be a space to increase community awareness and education, to organize, share stories and to build together as a community. Lastly, the camp-ins will serve as a drop-off/distribution site for needed supplies for houseless community members.

This camp-in will also offer the oppurtunity for people to engage in Know-Your-Rights street outreach. If interested, show up to the camp-in where hnow-your-rights literature will be available and a group wil assemble before hitting the streets. Know-Your-Rights education is especially crucial in the lead up to Artswalk, when OPD are known to intensify their harrasment of houseless people.
