On Saturday night 100 posters declaring hatred for Zionism and love for Palestinian resistance were wheatpasted up and down The Ave in the University District of so-called Seattle, done in solidarity with the insurgency in Gaza.
The posters read “NOTHING BUT HATE FOR ISRAEL AND ZIONISM, NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR PALESTINE AND LIBERATION” “from gaza to the americas, decolonization means attack!” “fire to the prisons | fuck 12 | anarchy and communism”.
In the midst of the most jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring mass prison break in Palestinian history, we decided to show our unwavering support and solidarity with the wretched of the earth, and to remind students of the UW that Decolonization is a verb, not a platitude.
Just to be clear, our disdain for Zionist nationalism and apartheid doesn’t preclude us from criticizing Hamas, Hezbollah, and all the other so-called Vanguards of the dispossessed. With that said, any guarded inch of land touched by those imprisoned in the worlds largest open-air prison is worthy of celebration in and of itself.
