Responding to calls to escalate from humanitarians kidnapped from the Global Sumud Flotilla and from the people of Gaza, the worker intifada in Duwamish land (so-called Seattle) targeted mass murderer Andy Jassy at his home. On the evening of October 2nd, hours after sundown, Jassy – the war profiteering CEO of Amazon – found his private residence targeted by a noise demonstration and disruption.
Approximately 40 community members swarmed outside his home, banging pots and pans and expressing their anger. They were joined by comrades in vehicles leaning on their horns and amplifying our collective rage. Neighbors joined in to use the megaphone: “Fuck you Andy Jassy, you piece of shit!” After an hour or so, protesters made the decision to leave – No less than 8 Seattle Police officers had flocked to the neighborhood (defending the rich), prepared for random and targeted arrests.
The action was short, but the impact was immediately tangible. Graffiti adorned the path to his house, red glitter to signify blood was dumped on his property line, lime scooters were jammed into the entry gate, and stickers decorated the security cameras. SPD remained in their vehicles, parked a block away, and took no one that night. Jassy gave a statement to police, claiming he was targeted for his Jewish identity. He has since hired private security and installed additional surveillance cameras around his home.
This action took place after sundown on October 2nd, a few hours after the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur had concluded (our holidays begin and end at sunset). Claiming that he was targeted for being Jewish is an insult to every Jew who has ever observed this holiest of days. This day, dedicated to repentance and forgiveness, is marred every year by the horrific crimes against humanity that Andy Jassy has committed. To weaponize his identity in an attempt to shield himself from responsibility for his actions is abhorrent, and the anti-zionist Jews, Muslims and atheists who participated in this action are disgusted at his crocodile tears. Andy Jassy was targeted, not because he is Jewish, not because it was Yom Kippur, but because no amount of blood money can absolve him of the sins he has committed. We hope his nightmares are filled with our voices, for we are a fraction of the people standing outside his ugly hate-filled mansion, ever present on behalf of more than 600,000 Palestinians whose blood is on his hands. If Andy Jassy really wants to fulfill his ethical and moral responsibilities from Yom Kippur, if he wants to atone for his sins, he can immediately sever Amazon’s contracts with israel and ICE and withdraw all complicity in empire’s reign of terror. Amazon operates surveillance programs for the genocidal israeli military. It enforces the bullet lines of borders attempting to cage Palestinians, as well as the border lines imprisoning families here on Turtle Island. Amazon has been working with ICE since at least 2018, providing server support for their data collection investigations with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Justice is long overdue. In 2021, Andy Jassy oversaw a $1.2 billion contract with the Israeli government and military to provide critical cloud infrastructure through AWS. Among the 33 customers of this contract is the Hityashvut Division, which acts as the executive arm for expanding illegal settlements in the West Bank. Three more of their customers are the IOF, Israeli Aerospace Industries, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems; the latter two are arms manufacturers that build the bombs being used directly to bomb and murder Palestinians in Gaza.
Amazon plans to invest an additional $7.2 billion in israel through 2037 and has launched data centers in Tel Aviv. This infrastructure assists the israeli military in achieving near-unlimited computational power for the first AI-powered genocide. This includes helping to empower “Lavender,” “The Gospel,” and “Where’s Daddy?”— israeli AI models that identify Palestinians and bomb them in their homes with minimal delay.

The ruling class squeezes every drop of blood throughout the world from Black, Brown, working class communities that it can. Blood from their land theft, borders, and prisons oils the machines of their wealth.
At the home of the Amazon CEO, we shine a spotlight on those who think themselves infallible and untouchable. Justice will be brought on those who bomb apartment buildings and refugee camps, on those whose souls reek with the stench of death. We remind them that their defeat is inevitable. The people of Gaza, in their crushing of the prison gates, are a reminder that no oppressor can ever be safe.
Freedom will be taken by the people – we will no longer defer to the state and beg politicians to hold thieving war profiteers accountable, we will hold them accountable ourselves. We will not reinforce the narrative of colonization with self-imposed restraint on our resistance. The war machine will be brought down, and there will be no niceties or apologies for inconveniencing the Andy Jassy’s of polite society in doing so. Those who murder and dispossess Black and Brown people all over the world will see their world crumble: do not forget that this world holds the lineage of Assata Shakur and Nat Turner. Do not forget that only the last few months have seen retribution on the ruling classes in Nepal, Indonesia, and Madagascar. Do not forget the memory of the police stations burning, the officers abandoning their barracks. In the end it will be the people, and not wealth, that determines community safety.
Executive oligarchs are on notice. We know who you are. We know what you’ve done. We know where you live. There are dozens of wealthy elite who are complicit in genocide living in so-called Seattle and nearby areas. Andy Jassy’s neighborhood alone houses at least a half dozen tech execuives and consultants to the genocidal zionist entity. If you want to be a war criminal on Duwamish land, know that the people will always find you. No amount of surveillance cameras or private security will keep you safe from what you have done to Palestine. As long as you continue to operate the gears of genocide in our backyard, your conscience will never be clear and you will never see rest.
