Prisoner Letter Writing Night from Home: 5-03-2020

submitted by Puget Sound Prisoner Support

Join us in our digital and socially-distant bi-monthly prisoner letter writing night as we continue to forge and maintain connections with our comrades and friends who are behind bars. Due to the ongoing global health emergency, we will continue to conduct these letter writing evenings digitally. As per usual, we provide all the material resources needed for writing letters to those locked up.

We are inviting those who may not have access to envelopes, postage or the means to put a letter in the mail to reach out to us at psps (at) riseup (dot) net. You can type up your letter to your pen-pal, email it to us, and we will print it out and put it in the mail for you. Please be sure to include the name and return address you would like to use, or if you would like to use our mailing address, whereas we can take pictures of responses and email them to you. While the current measures to maintain personal health may be alienating and isolating, we must prove that we can adapt to them and manage to maintain contact with our friends who are locked up.

We would like to take this opportunity to highlight the struggle of Ohio death row prisoner Bomani Shakur, a veteran of the Lucasville Uprising. The Final Straw recently aired an interview with him on his struggle to stay alive and call out the injustice in his and so many other cases. You can listen to it and find out more here: https://itsgoingdown.org/final-straw-lorenzo-komboa-ervin-bomani-shakur/

Write to Bomani Shakur here (address envelope to Keith LaMar):

Keith LaMar, #317117
878 Coitsville-Hubbard Road
Youngstown, OH 44505
